BRIC’s mission is devoted to biomedical research, primarily within cancer and neurological diseases. BRIC's goal is to contribute to a basic understanding of how and why disease occurs, to discover new disease-related genes, potential targets and biomarkers, in order to provide more efficient treatments for patients.

At the Niels Bohr Institute they research and teach within a broad spectrum of physics areas: Astrophysics, Biophysics, Solid State Physics, Climate and Geophysics, Quantum Physics and Particle Physics.

The Department of Chemistry at the University of Copenhagen is a combined research and educational institution training bachelors, masterstudents and PhDs to the highest vocational standards within all fields of the molecular sciences.

The Department of Science Education (IND) focuses on the specific nature of challenges related to science teaching, learning and research. The research field of IND is  science and mathematics education, university science education, digital education and history and philosophy of science. The department takes care of teaching these subjects at the study programs at SCIENCE.

The Department of Biotechnology and Biomedicine (DTU Bioengineering) addresses challenges of societal and scientific importance through basic and applied research, teaching, scientific consulting and dissemination of knowledge within the areas of microbiology, biomedicine, and biotechnology.

DTU Chemistry is a department with a high level of research activities, important publications in high impact journals, and a department with great emphasis on educating the future generation of chemical engineers.
