Our very first call for PhD positions under the INTERACT programme sparked impressive interest from early stage researchers around the globe. We received 744 applications. A clear sign that interdisciplinary health research is thriving!
After the initial eligibility check, 489 applications moved forward to Evaluation Phase 1. From there, 70 reached Evaluation Phase 2, where each candidate was interviewed online by the selection committee.
Finally, 18 talented candidates were selected and offered positions in the programme. All applicants have been informed individually about their results.
A big thank you to everyone who applied and helped make this first call a success. We have already welcomed the fellows from the first call and look forward to the next round!

Our second call for PhD fellowships under the INTERACT programme attracted substantial interest from early-stage researchers across the globe. In total, we received 1100 applications, underlining the continued momentum around interdisciplinary health research.
Following the eligibility screening, 406 candidates were invited to proceed to Evaluation Phase 1. Of those, 51 advanced to Evaluation Phase 2, where they met the selection committee in online interviews.
At the end of the process, 13 were selected and offered positions in the programme.
